Border Crossings
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the following checkpoints are open for passenger cars:

Other Border Crossings
- Ljubovija – Bratunac: A relatively new crossing that helps reduce congestion on other routes;
- Bajina Bašta – Skelani: Popular for travelers heading to Tara National Park or the Drina River;
- Uvac – Rudo: An alternative crossing in the southwest, near the municipality of Rudo in BiH.
Note: In addition to these checkpoints, there may be smaller ones that are only open to local residents. Please check in advance whether international travel is allowed.

Useful traveler information
- Peak hours: The longest queues generally occur on weekends, holidays, and during early morning or late evening hours;
- Holiday seasons: Summer and winter breaks can lead to additional delays;
- Documents: You need a valid passport (or ID card for citizens of certain countries), a driver’s license, a vehicle registration certificate, and a third-party liability insurance policy;
- Rental car: Ensure that your rental contract allows border crossings and that you have all necessary documents from the rental company.
